Billy Gibbons on the band's next album [Video]

ZZ Top has spent a long time working on their next album, but guitarist Billy Gibbons assures Rolling Stone's David Fricke that the new disc is coming along very well. "The good news is that under the direction of Rick Rubin, ZZ Top has stepped into a new arena with a very understanding producer," says Gibbons, who adds that the next record should be pretty streamlined and straightforward. "When you add up the days in the studio, it hasn't allowed us much time to do much else than plug straight into an amp and play as a trio. We're not afraid to experiment when time allows, but these are things that don't normally pop up in a ZZ session. It's just, go in and get it."

    Since 2003, the studio album is not produced, although in 2006 it was announced that the band recorded a new album. But he was not released, the band went to RCA, separated from her producer Bill Ham unchanged and in December 2006 signed a contract with Sanctuary Records, but the album was never released. In July 2008, got rid announced the new album, but the release was canceled.
    It is a pity that so far, ZZ-Top has not released a new albmov, although judging by the fact that ZZ-Top gastrolliruet actively using the old material, some potential in the group is.     I am that you do not really understand what relationship to have an interview with Billy sales of footwear, watches and knives at auction. We are talking about recording a new album that they're going to write ever since "Mescalero." We would like to hear the new album and hope that it will be even better than great "Mescalero"!
