I read that the Atmore Alabama show was cancelled due to some safety concerns with the stage. Probably a good call on their part in light of the disaster with the Sugarland show at the Indiana fair which killed 7 people. That was an unbelievable sight, see it in slow motion here:

ZZ spokesperson has stated that there were several safety concerns that had not been addressed by showtime and thus the cancellation. We don't need the roof coming down on that little old band from Texas now do we? It sure is disappointing for the thousands of fans in attendance but I'd rather see ZZ playing onstage rather than visit their graves. Rock-n-roll has always been a tough business, but rarely is it deadly, at least not onstage.
